The last thing that I think should happen is that the lame duck school board members should assist in the process of finding a new superintendent.
There are four of them and they could be easily replaced (off the top of my head) by the teacher of the year, the head of the PTA, the head of the union and the head of the chamber of commerce or some other suitable member of the business community. If we wanted to expand it by two we could include the mayor and the local head of the NAACP. Though to be honest I think we could pick four random people off the street and they would do a better job.
These four board members have not only helped drive the school system off a cliff but if there is any justice in the world they will not have their jobs come August or November.
If Mrs. Burney wants people with concerns to express them to the board, she will get it.
I will contact her and the board later today to make my concerns known.
