The Duval County School Board thinks you should take it and like it

The latest fiasco out of 1701 Prudential Drive has the school board either skirting the letter of the law or breaking the law when they decided to fire the superintendent. They did so at two meetings referred to as Quarterly Goals Update and Continuing Quarterly Goals. If you notice replacing Pratt-Dannals is nowhere mentioned and you won’t find him mentioned in the minutes which they are required by law to take either.

The school board remains unapologetic for their actions. They have circled the wagons in their opinion that the public doesn’t have a right to know about what transpired and why wouldn’t they? You see time and time again the public has let them get away with it.

KIPP being allowed to expand.

TFA teachers brought in.

Our Intervene schools and millions of dollars given away

No solutions for the struggling schools

Pleading poverty while sitting on over 160 million dollars

The list of gaffs, bad calls and mistakes that the public has allowed them to get away with goes on and on and on. They are so brazen that Burney and Barrett have asked the public to turn a blind eye to what is happened under their watch that they are running for a third and fourth term respectively.

If lying to the public, ruining lives and being part of a system that hurts kids is not enough, what do they have to do before the public says enough?
