Is the school board seeking to exclude the public from picking the next superintendent?

According to the Times Union the school board is scheduled to have their first public meeting this Thursday at 9 a.m.

The school board obviously doesn’t understand that the vast majority of the public, including every teacher, is at work at 9 a.m.

Why would they pick a time that excludes the vast majority of the public if they wanted the public to participate? Meetings should be at six o’clock or on Saturdays. I understand that every time will exclude some but the board should pick times that will include the most.

See this is what gets me; somehow the board has become so far separated from the people on the street that they both no longer represent them and obvioulsy aren’t interested in hearing what they have to say.
