It is time for the superintendent to go

Superintendent Pratt Dannals should not be allowed to stay till December when his contract expires. He should be shown the door now. His reward for running the district into the ground and deceiving the public, the teacher’s union and the other hard working employees of the district should not to be to pick up a gold watch on his way out.

Under his reign attendance, punctuality and effort became unnecessary for kids and he assisted in the destruction of teacher morale. Under the super teachers went from valued employees, to easily replaced cogs and yoked farm animals with all the accountability and none of the authority. His only solution to a problem was to move his sycophants and cronies around and what he points to as accomplishments quickly fall apart with any critical thinking.

In short he shouldn’t be allowed to hurt people and kids, do a terrible job and mislead the public and get to keep his job.

For the board to allow him to hang around and continue to influence policy just shows they are more concerned with appearances than what is best for the kids, schools and teachers of the city. They need to get a little messy and stop taking the easy way out.

It’s time he went so the district can start the repair and healing process that will undoubtedly take years.
