When the school board wanted to add three additional member members to its public relations staff I was outraged, after all the district had been pleading poverty, cutting programs and firing people.
Well it turns out we were flush with cash sitting on 160 million dollars, well that money must be burning a hole in the school board’s pocket as they mull hiring four more expensive administrators.
What don’t they get? We need art teachers and summer school and busses so kids can stay after school and get a consequence for bad behavior or help in their classes. We don’t need more administrators and I can’t imagine these positions being paramount because if they were then the district would have already have had them.
Friends have you ever been to the school board building? The parking lot is always full. That building is packed. We have plenty of administrators as it is and if something else needs to be done add it to one of their plates after all they have ben loading up teacher’s plate’s past overflowing for a few years now.
