Should Duval County be paying salaries of 162k to administrators?

This the top end of the salary range for the new chief officer for information and accountability position.

Before you say we need to pay top dollar for top talent be warned you are about to disrespect 7000 teachers. Duval County is about 14 thousand dollars off the national average. Top teachers at the end of the pay scale make about seventy thousand.

Forty-seven Duval County school board employees already make over 100 thousand dollars. A handful of these are principals but the majority are administrators, who don’t have any direct student responsibilities. I am all for people making money but why are they making so much money? Nobody would do the job for 90 thousand dollars? How about 80 or 75?

Principals at big high schools and maybe a handful, literally 5 or so administrators, should make over a hundred thousand dollars.

To me the answer is no.
