The Times Union likes quantity over quality, no make that decency

In today’s paper the Times Union graded the local state legislators and their only criteria seemed to be the amount of bills the legislator had reach the governors desk. That’s why they gave Steve Wise a passing grade.

Steve “why do we have apes if we still have apes” has long been a foe of public education and decency too. These are just some of his lowlights.

He called parents against the parent trigger bill psychotic.

He rewrote the high school athletic rules so they favored a handful of private schools over the objection of 99.9 of the state’s schools.

He attempted to force public schools to give money to charter schools for construction.

He wanted to change winter break into Christmas break.

He voted against certain residents receiving in state tuition and all this along with his annual anti-teacher’s union legislation.

This ideologically driven westsider has been a pox on education; he embarrasses me as does the Times Union’s passing grade of him.
