Who does the Florida Legislature really serve (hint unless you run a charter school it isn't you)

Last year they cut 1.3 billion dollars from education and this year added so much back that school districts will only lose about 80 bucks a kid. That hurts kids and public schools.

They passed the unfunded teacher profession killing merit pay bill and then with a bit of twisted irony cut teacher’s salaries by 3 percent.

Now they are poised to ignore the vast majority of parents and pass the critically reviled and flawed parent trigger bill.

Well it doesn’t seem like kids, parents, public schools or teachers are very high on their list.

The millions in start up fees and construction costs given, plus all the favorable legislation passed for charter schools make me thinks they only support the corporate interests who operate them.

Your answer friends, privatization.
