Gary Chartrand is a big proponent of Teach for America and KIPP Schools; well despite evidence that says either is being successful the School Board has allowed both to expand.
We are scheduled to being a 100 TFA hobbyists to work in our most struggling schools next year and the KIPP school despite it had the poorest grade in NE Florida last year has been allowed to expand.
Seeing how he has gotten just about everything he wants I wonder why he feels the need to buy his protégé Ashley Smith-Juarez a school board seat?
Gary Chartrand would have our school system drive in the wrong direction and it seems like our school board is all to willing to let it happen.
