Since 2009 there have been 127 principal moves in Duval County

At least, there have probably been a dozen so or more. The list just reflects pre-school starting not changes that happened during the year.

Checking the Times Union's archives I found,

2009-24
2012-34
2011-34
2012-35

This has to raise red Flags!

More analysis of this to come.

  4. Chris,

As a former teacher of Duval, I appreciate your thoughtful post and analysis. No other large district in our state operates in this fashion. It takes leaders a minimum of five years to build the proper infrastructure in order for them to be successful--how many principals have been given more than five years since Superintendent Fryer???? Things that make you go hmmm....

So as we continue to look at Duval never exclude the leadership--local and district as a key indicator how many of the metrics we are assessed on---graduation rates, etc.

Keep up the good work :)
