It finally dawned on school board member Tommy Hazouri doesn’t understand what teachers do.

About Rick Scott’s visit, Mr. Hazouri said, “I think it was more for show and tell than it was for listening and doing,” Hazouri said. “He ought to be listening to parents, teachers and students, but also the people who have to implement the decisions the state makes.”

Um aren’t teachers the ones that actually implement the decisions the state makes. As far as I can tell all the school board does is hire high priced administrators who justify their positions by cajoling and marginalizing teachers.
