The president has teachers over a barrel. Obama despite his rhetoric is not a friend of educators. He is for charter schools, high stakes testing and merit pay, none of which has actual evidence that say they work. Obama can go toe to toe with the republicans on their privatize, corporate reform agenda and he has marginalized the unions that represent teachers and ignored poverty as a factor as well. Despite all this I bet he has a cat eating grin on his face when the prospect of teacher support comes up because he knows what Romney has planned for educators is worse.
The president has gotten the support of teachers all across the nation and he is about to say thanks by screwing us.
Educators are stuck between a rock, Democrats, and a hard place, Republicans.
