Solutions that don’t break the bank, reinvent the wheel or marginalize our teachers are within our grasp. We could have rigorous classes, safe and disciplined schools and treat teachers like valued colleagues rather than easily replaceable cogs, and we could do so tomorrow if we wanted. Where Education Matters owes the TU a debt of graditude, if they are wrong we can't ignore it.
My blog got 91,000 hits in January and many of them came from my link to the TU, so I am VERY grateful but at the same time if I think they are wrong I can't give them a pass (rest assure though because I have given them credit on occasion too).
