This type of leadership would make a big difference for our students and system. Some of our board members have lost sight of why they are there. I also believe it is their responsibility to question ideas and actions by a superintendent that are not for the food of the system. For example, putting in place a curriculum that does not address writing or reading in a way that meets the needs of the diverse population of our system, but instead helps that superintendent and his curriculum lead make outside connections with organizations that will give their friends and families jobs.
