He's looking at one phase of the death of the Middle Class, and I am not certain that's not just a symptom, not a phase.

Chances are the Middle Class died as it peaked, meaning its death was set in motion even before it peaked. Could this mean the rise of Unions killed the very Middle Class, many say it wrought? Moore comes with an agenda, not objectivity. That's fine. What's not fine are the fools who accept his agenda as objectivity. Remember, Ronald Reagan was a Union man; former head of the Screen Actors Guild, as I recall. Politicians come with agendas, but I don't recall if Reagan ever resigned from the Screen Actors Guild. Perhaps so.

Still, I am convinced the Death of the Middle Class, did not begin with the dismissal of the Air Traffic Controllers during their strike. I was opposed then to their dismissal (I'm non-union) and I'm sure it affected air traffic years afterwards, maybe even today. But, it's not responsible for the Death of the Middle Class. Symptom maybe, but probably not even a phase.

How do you plan to teach this topic if it comes up in a class?Wyman Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246828004909260940noreply@blogger.com
