School Board Agenda

Tonight the school board is voting on whom to award a 28 million dollar redesign/construction job at Lee High School. I don’t doubt for a second the school needs some upgrades, most schools do. If these were good financial times I would be in the line championing them. However these are not good financial times or that’s what they have been telling us anyways and if this is so, then this 28 million dollar upgrade seems to me the equivalent of buying a 42-inch, high definition, flat screen telivision when the rent is due. Sure it would be nice to watch such a majestic TV but there are slightly more pressing problems.
