The superintendent called the move to turn over the four intervene schools to an education management organization a bold one. Others might use words like unexpected, confusing and betrayal. Hundreds of teachers and support staff lost their jobs and then the district suddenly comes up with a million dollars to hire basically one administrator per school and to contract for some coaching services? This is a huge betrayal of the districts teachers, students, their families and all the other stakeholders. It says to the city, yeah we don’t know what we are doing, so we’re going to throw some money at the problem.
This from left field, Hail Marry solution is just more evidence that those the city has entrusted to lead us really have no idea about what they are doing.
