Rep. Dennis Baxley, R-Ocala, in a Tampa Times Piece blasted Rep
Mia Jones, D-Jax, and other Democrats for thinking it is wrong to give the public's assets to for profit companies for being "parochial."
"It bothers me that we still have that bias [against charter schools] when we have seen so much success," Baxley said.

I
wonder if by successes he is talking about the 226 charter schools that have
failed over the years and the chaos this has caused so many? Or maybe it is the fact over a third of
charter schools according to an August report by the state auditor general
had accounting problems, legal violations or other problems in their 2011
audits.
Are
those the successes he is talking about?
There
may be a few great charter schools but what there definitely are is lots of
great public schools and its time the people’s representatives started taking
care of their needs and stopped trying to kill them by the death of a thousand
cuts.
It
bothers me that Ocala elected a tool.
