The Florida Times Unions editorial board gave the school board a grade of D. This is a surprise, as not a year ago the same editorial board wrote; we have the superintendent and school board in place to lead us to a brighter future. I hope the editors didn’t think more of our schools failing; seceding control of seven of our schools to an EMO and miniscule improvement in most of our others was a brighter future.
The board also suggested they review the superintendents performance in six months. Well what are they going to review? The district has already given up control of our struggling schools and the FCAT isn’t given till March. It seems to me the Times Union like the district has no clue what’s going on and what to do.
