Florida Gov. Rick Scott has named Republican operative Sally Bradshaw to the State Board of Education.
The Republican governor announced the appointment Tuesday.
Bradshaw also served as chief of staff to then-Gov. Jeb Bush from 1999 through 2001.
She joins another former Bush chief of staff, Kathleen Shanahan, on the board that oversees the state's public schools and state and community colleges.
Bradshaw replaces Mark Kaplan, who also is a former Bush chief of staff.
Also, Bradshaw recently served on Scott's transition team and was Bush's campaign manager in 1998 and 1994.
She's also served this year as an adviser to Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and his political committee and to Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for his presidential campaign four years ago.
Bradshaw also has advised the Florida GOP.
