According to the Times Union: The
district says that in the 2012-13 school year, 21,404 of its students took AP
exams and 6,192, or 28 percent, passed them. The district covers the
cost of the tests at 61 bucks a pop and that means we spent 1,232,172 dollars
on failed tests.
Now some kids are taking the tests thinking or
hoping they will pass but thousands are taking the tests knowing they will
fail.
In this time of limited resources aren't there better uses of the ones we have?
