Solutions that don’t break the bank, reinvent the wheel or marginalize our teachers are within our grasp. We could have rigorous classes, safe and disciplined schools and treat teachers like professionals, and we could do so tomorrow if we wanted.

If you would like to know what teachers all over the nation are facing.
This video, her sentiments, parallel my own experience to a tee! Wow, she did a fantastic job. I especially love the part where she refers to someone who has taught 1 year and is making big decisions about education. You don't start to become a really effective teacher, in my opinion, until at least your 3rd or 4th year. Just ask anyone who has been teaching longer than 5 years; there are very few of us who fit this category, especially in my current school.
