There should be a zero tolerance policy about children putting their hands on their teachers. Punishment should be swift and severe. Not a five or ten day suspension but either expulsion or a yearlong trip to an alternative school after their initial arrest that is and the superintendent and board should announce so, since they have suddenly been woken to the fact our schools aren’t as safe or as disciplined as the district would have the public believe.
If we can’t protect our teachers what real hope is there of protecting anybody else?
on the same token...zero tolerance for teachers/school workers putting hands on children...
