In an editorial today about a Duval County succession plan, the author had a mini-love affair with the Broad Foundation. They wrote:
Superintendents trained by the Broad Center’s academy have outpaced their peers in student achievement.
This was true of 67 percent of superintendents who served for three years and 80 percent of superintendents who served for four years.
Where did they get this information? Well from the Broad Foundation themselves of course. Not from a peer reviewed study, not from an in-depth news piece but from the horse’s mouth.
And since the Broad foundation is selling a product and make no mistake getting wealthy off urban school districts is their goal, they wouldn’t do anything like stretch the truth or use misleading information would they?
The Times Union shouldn’t play fast and loose with the truth, doing so hurts what little credibility they have left. To see the Broad Foundations press release paste below into your browser.
