Two things
First with opportunity scholarships and magnet programs families already have lots of choice within the public school system.
Second no amount of vouchers, charter schools and virtual schools run from India will mitigate poverty which is the number one quantifiable factor in education, those students that live in it do worse as a group that don’t. We are never going to improve as long as we ignore poverty.
It’s not school choice that Rick Scott, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush and others are selling, it’s privatization and since there is little accountability in private schools and charter schools don’t do better than their public school counterparts then we have to look for the real motives behind it.
My guess is follow the money and that trail won't lead back to regular folks.
