Former ESE director Ken Sutton retires rather than show up at Ed White high school.

Last week Ken Sutton was demoted form ESE director to assistant principal at Ed White high school, and there is no way to sugar coat it, this is a huge fall. The reason he was assighned to Ed White probably has to do with its huge ESE population.

Sources say Mr. Sutton has chosen to retire rather than show up and to be honest did we expect anything different? I think a snowball surviving in a very hot place had a better chance than him showing up. It has to be tough going from one of the district chiefs to an assistant at a high school.

I can’t help but think there is a story here but since the district has a way of protecting its upper echelon, the disastrous reign of Pratt-Dannals anyone, teachers not so much, I think once again that snowball has a better chance than us hearing it.

  2. Cleaning house! Early spring cleaning. And wow, what a difference it makes! Principals are next since they directly impact the school and teacher morale and teachers have the most influence over student success. Inner city schools with consistent "A" averages have GREAT leaders.
