Gary Chartrand tells W.C. Gentry to get out of the race

Now he didn’t say it in words, he said it by having his cronies, sycophants, school privatization pals and yacht club buddies finance his protégé Ashley Smith-Juarez to the term of 84 thousand dollars.

In case you didn’t know it, Gary Chartrand is a corporate reform minded individual. He doesn’t believe in the class size amendment the one reform with evidence saying it works and instead throws his weight behind charter schools (he brought the KIPP school the lowest performing school in Northeast Florida last year to town) vouchers and Teach for America, the organization that takes hobbyists put them through a five week access course and plops them in our most struggling schools to work with our most struggling students.

W.C. Gentry the current board member in district three has vacillated back and forth between he will and he won’t run and this 84 thousand shot across the bow has to be a message to sit this one out.

School board seat for sale, cost 84 thousand dollars and the future of local public education.
