If the Duval County School Board has any decency left

They will announce that teachers regardless of years of service not put on a success plan and given the guidance and time to improve will have their positions next year. The problems with the CAST and the principals and their designees not using it with fidelity are just insurmountable at this juncture.

The board should quiet the unrest and uncertainty in our schools and let teachers know they will no longer be treated like easily replaceable cogs at the whims of principals serving other priorities than what is right for their students.

That’s what the school board should do if it has any decency left.

  1. They don't! If they really cared about students they would let teachers teach free from the stress of losing their jobs when a principal doesn''t like them due to personality issues, gender, race, and yes, even the favortism shown to teachers who attended Florida A&M University.
