Nancy Broner, the districts mediator du jour, said it was probably because of the states sunshine laws. People didn’t want to be outed to their current employers about the fact they were looking fro a new job.
I can see that to a degree but let me offer an alternative view.
People would like to know who they will be working for and with at least three and possibly four members of the school board just months away from being out, they want to hold off applying.
