The KIPP School was the worst performing school in Northeast Florid last year. Its penalty, well they were allowed to expand of course and just so you know the board voted 7-0 to allow them to do so.
I wonder who got to board members Wright and Hazouri because Wright voted against it in the fall and Hazouri said their startling lack of progress was troubling.
What would be wrong with allowing them to show progress before being allowed to expand? Apparently everything.
This was at best a hasty decision by the board and the children of Jacksonville deserved better.
