FCAT results due Friday
Brace for it.
The Florida Department of Education is scheduled to deliver FCAT writing scores to districts and schools early Friday, followed by a public release later in the day.
Also slated for release are ninth- and tenth-grade reading results, as well as high school retake information.
We've already seen the writing overview, which led to the State Board's "emergency" meeting to make rating adjustments. Don't expect anything but more news about big drops, with scoring standards revised across the board this year to add "rigor." We'll bring you the details as we get them.
