The only school choices the state wants parents to have makes other people money

Vouchers, virtual schools, charter schools, and high stakes testing, the privatization of public education is well under way in Florida and it is being done under the guise of school choice, there however is one choice the state doesn’t want parents to have and that’s to opt out of high stakes standardized tests.

That’s right, instead they want to put kids through the meat grinder that lacks creativity, innovation and teaches just to the test, you know what education here in Florida has become. Why? Well Pearson is making lots of money and if the state can increase dissatisfaction with public schools a lot of other people will too.

The thing is the state shouldn’t get to run education into a ditch and then say, hey look education is in a ditch we better give parents school choice to fix it.

Let the powers-that-be know the one school choice you want is to opt out of the FCAT.
