From the Times Union: Hazard and McPherson beat proposals from Ray and Associates Inc. and PROACT Search, who came in third and fourth respectively.
Several board members commented that Ray and Associates’ prospects were hurt by the fact the group was responsible for finding former Superintendent Joseph Wise in 2005. Wise’s tenure in the district was tumultuous and ended abruptly.
So it was Ray and Associates fault? Well what about Hazouri, Barrett and Burney? They were on the board that made the choice!
My question is why aren’t Hazouri, Barrett and Burney exempting themselves from the superintendent search after all they helped hire Wise and then Pratt-Dannals arguably disasters? In fact those three have been on the board for arguably the worst 8 years sense desegregation. Ask yourselves does it seem like we as a district are heading in the right direction? At least Hazouri has the dignity to slip into the night; Barrett and Burney are running for 4th and 3rd terms respectively.
I am reminded of that old saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Well friend what’s it going to be if those three fool us three times?
