The board claims when making decisions they are data driven and if that is the case it makes some of their decisions very questionable.
The data says TFA teachers do not stay, so instead of stopping the importation of them it ups the ante and doubles the amount it plans to bring in.
The data says the KIPP School was the worst in Northeast Florida so instead of pausing to see if it improves, the board allows them to expand.
These decisions weren’t based on data, they couldn’t have been. What these two programs do have is powerful and rich backers, which makes me wonder if down the road somebody will be getting some quid pro quo.
