Representative Janet Adkins says teachers aren't important in the ed reform conversation, she has plenty of compay

Representative Janet Atkins Fernandina Beach is having an education solutions meeting at the Times Union Center tomorrow. First I am not sure if we can handle any more of Mrs. Atkins solutions, give more money to charter schools and saddle teachers with morale crushing field ending legislation but what really gets me is it is at 3!

What teacher without taking the day off can be there at 3? The answer is practically none but that isthe way these people operate; see Gary Chartrand and his champions of education meeting last week.

All of these politicians, business leaders and corporate education reformers don’t want teachers involved in education policy and we wonder why we are in trouble.
