This time last year we were wondering what Duval Partners, the handpicked community group that was supposed to run our intervene schools that instead sequestered themselves in a basement and then went rogue, was up to. The school board must consider that the good old days.
Since then the district gave four schools and two million dollars away to an EMO, which has senior officials with close ties to the district.
There was the principal of Raines who was fired after lying to the police after he tried to cover up several student thefts.
The schools of the future debacle which started without a curriculum and then a few months later lost their principal and a few thousand dollars worth of equipment. The whole program was so botched it is now on the chopping block.
It turns out we weren’t quite so poor after all when the district was pleading poverty sitting on over a hundred million dollars.
Our superintendent was fired under the cover of night, I happened to like that decision but the way it was carried out was a disaster to say the least and now,
It turns out we misdirected federal funds and friends this is all from the last 12 months and those are just the major gaffs... that we know about!
Who is flying the plane and why are we still allowing them to do so?
