Gentry said it’s crucial the new superintendent change the perception that the district is “a good old boys network where people are not valued or promoted to a place based on merit rather than who you know.”
“In my opinion, we need to change the culture here,” he said. “It’s very negative with concerns, fear of retribution, retaliation if people speak out. It’s just a very chilling effect.”
