He starts his rant in the Times Union about the class size amendment, which he then calls a boondoggle. He then goes on to list numerous improvements the state has made in education. My question is, how is the class size amendment a boondoggle if we have had all these improvements.
People like Mitt Romney, Gary Chartrand, Jeb Bush and Mark Wilson don’t like smaller classes because it costs money and calls for more teachers. Sadly two things they don't care for are spending more money on education and teachers. They ignore the fact that smaller classes is the one reform that has evidence that says it works. Something vouchers, charter schools, merit pay and even high stakes standardized tests don’t have.
But then again he is a businessman and to him it is all about the money, not what is best for kids.
