The Times Union disrespects teachers …again and again

The Times Union asks a number of education questions including, How do you turn around a school culture where the teachers are trying to just get by? How do you create the positive school culture where a teacher who slacks off is called out by his or her colleagues?

A question they didn’t ask was, why was the board and super allowed to create an environment where teachers are treated like second-class citizens and student accountability is non-existent.

I remind the Times Union, teachers did not create grade recovery, did not gut discipline, cajole eachers into passing kids who weren't ready and did not decide to teach to the test or eliminate creativity and innovation. No these are decisions that came from the board and the super but once again the TU gives them a pass and blames the teachers. They believe the buck stops at the bottom apparently.
