Why Florida’s charter school system is a failure

First don’t pile on. I know there are some excellent charter schools. What I am talking about is the system in total.

Studies show charter schools are excluding disabled students and English as a second language speakers two of the toughest groups to educate. Charter schools often get the most motivated students with the most involved parents, parents they can put requirements on, something that public schools can’t do. Furthermore in the case of KIPP, they spend about 66% more to educate their students and despite all this, despite it all they aren’t doing any better than public schools.

Charter schools have all those advantages and they aren’t doing any better. That should speak volumes to the school choice, err pro privatization group.

The answer friends is to fix the issues that public schools have not to outsource our kids education.
