About half way through it says:
Since 2007, Burney has served as a consultant for the Center for Reform Governance (funded by the Broad Foundation) and provides technical assistance to school boards and Superintendents desiring to positively impact student achievement.
She mentions the Broad Foundation like she is proud of her association. The Broad foundation is a group who believes in corporate solutions to education issues. They believe in more testing, tying teachers pay to students tests, vouchers and charter schools, teaching experience doesn’t matter and here in Florida they financed Parent Revolution, the group that tried to bring the parent trigger here. You know the bill that parent groups throughout the state fought tooth and nail against.
Most public education supporters think of the Broad Foundation as that corporate wolf looking to devour it. Mrs. Burney obviously feels differently.
