This is what gets me about voucher proponents especially those that want to save the poor black children they could generally care less about, it is they think that if some homeboy from the north side with his pants down around his ankles were suddenly put in a private school, not that many private schools would take him regardless if he had a voucher or not or if they did, keep him once he cursed or threatened a teacher, he would instantly be doing better? That's ignorant.
The answer is to fix our public schools with adequate resources, programs that serve the needs of more children and to make sure we have good leadership. The answer is not to outsource our children’s futures to institutions that lack accountability and or are more concerned with the bottom line.
This notion that public schools are some how failing society is ridiculous, it is the other way around.
