Facing 7 million in cuts, Duval County spends 200 grand on a lawyer anyways.

The Times Union announced that due to increased enrollment the county is facing a 7 million dollar shortfall. Well friends this just didn’t sneak up on us. Every teacher across the county had it drilled in their head how important taking roll was the first week. We received daily e-mails and stern looks if we were a bit behind schedule. No friends the county had to know about the potential shortfall and decided to hire another expensive administrator anyways.

Since the ivory tower and not the classroom is this districts priority its no wonder our enrollment has dropped.

  1. The school board is facing a shortfall. Oh my... maybe they could tap that 100+ million they were hiding in secret bank accounts.
