Did Jason Fischer, SB candidate district 7, sink his own ship?

There is a bit of controversy surrounding Mr. Fischer. The paper is reporting he may have padded his resume by saying he was in the Navy. He says the wording on his campaign literature was just inartful and he has changed it. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I have met Mr. Fischer and he seems like a decent enough guy.

However like you wouldn’t want me, a chubby, short, middle aged white guy with knee problems on your basketball team, I don’t want him on the school board either.

He is a corporate reformer type without any education experience or any relevant experience for that matter. The truth is he being in the navy or not being in the navy in no way qualifies him for being on the school board and furthermore I am not impressed that he was able to garner the endorsements of three men who have been incredibly bad for our education system, Bush, Thrasher and Wise.

Do you like standardized tests, don’t think teaching experience matters, think the bigger the class the better or think we should double down on privatization? If so then Fischer is your guy because those are the positions of those three men too.

So at the end of the day it doesn’t matter if he lied or was just inartful, what matters is do you want to have somebody help fix the problems in our schools, Jon Heymann or do you want somebody to blow our schools up.

  1. "Chubby"? Really? Have you been looking in the fun house mirrors again?

  2. OMG you are right on track except for the FACT that he lied on 3 flyers I received at my house. This was after he was told not to misrepresent his resume. He has a problem telling the truth. Not just about this. If he gets elected that will be one of Gary R. Chartrand puppets. 2 school board members this year and 2 more next year. He wants control. He likes to spend the money!

  3. No, "inartful" was the thinking that led him to run.

Lying is what he did/does on his website, which he has NOT corrected after plenty of opportunities.

Lying is what he encouraged his tea party money to do when they sent out flyers about Mr. Heymann, with lies abounding on them.

Truth is, though Chris, he will fall victim to the old phrase "Be careful what you wish for, as you will surely get it."

He now has what he wanted, and his bs-ing and lack of experience will make him look as foolish as he is, only now, everyone will be able to see it.
