That’s not a misprint. 17 charter schools failed in one city
in one year. And I thought 25 for all of Florida in one year was bad. Well
friends that’s what happens when a government, like Florida is trying to do
makes it easy to start a charter school. You get a lot of bad actors who don’t
know what they are doing and children pay the price, well children and tax
payers.
It should be very difficult to open a charter school but
unfortunately legislators in Tallahassee, many of whom operate or have family
members or supporters that do are trying to make it easier.
Columbus is Florida’s future unless we slow down and get
things right.
Finally Florida has had over 250 charter schools open and
close, about 30 percent of all of them and that should tell you all you need to
know about the industry
