Nine Months!!!
I know we want to get it right but nine months? Come on.
Why can’t this be done before the beginning of next school year? They could spend March and April gathering community input and then spend May and June finding and hiring the super.
How is a new super going to be able to do anything coming in at midyear? I bet they wish now that Ed Pratt-Dannals contract was up at the end of this school year and here they are putting themselves in the same situation again by hiring a super mid year.
Furthermore isn’t this going to be made all the more complicated by the fact at least Hazouri won’t be there in December and if there is any justice in the world Barrett, Burney and Gentry won’t be there either.
Are they trying to do this on the cheap? Do they not want to have two supers on the payroll at the same time?
The process should take as long as it takes but every effort to have the new super in place before the school year begins should take place.
