Rick Scott's inhumanity to his fellow man is dully noted.

Rick Scott has won three elections in Florida by the narrowest margins, Just enough snowbirds fleeing taxes and locals convinced there is a socialism monster hiding under their beds.

As governor, he rejected the medicare for all expansion though arguably no state needed it more. Turned down money for a high-speed train, because Obama offered it and underfunded education like it was his job.

He was terrible, something he continues to be while in the senate.

The other day he said his grandchildren would not be returning to school, but other families may want to send their children to school so they can get lunch.

Sigh

From Florida Politics,

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott wants schools to reopen, but he said his grandchildren won’t be in them.
On Tuesday’s edition of Varney and Co. on the Fox Business Network, the first-term Republican from Naples said, while parents should have “choice,” that choice should include distance learning, in addition to five days in brick-and-mortar buildings.
“My daughters are going to be more focused on distance learning right now to make sure their children are safe,” Scott told Varney. “Other parents are going to want to make sure their kids are in the classroom.”
Scott said parents have their own reasons for sending their kids to school, such as free lunches.
“Some [parents] are going to do it because it’s a way for students to get a subsidized meal, things like that,” Scott said.

Gulp!

Scott unintentionally explained all that is wrong with the system. Well off families have the option of keeping their kids safe, while poor ones may have to risk their lives just for food. This is the society we have created in Florida. Scott's grandkids will be just fine, but our kids and grandkids, yours and mine, maybe, maybe not.

I feel dirty when I think about how this guy represents me.
